| the body shop had to buy a genuine Nissan molding since they couldn't find anything generic that resembled it, I'm referring to the trim between the glass and the roof panel. That was around $100 right there. A tube of urethane glue was $50, that's the price of the good stuff. The two plastic rails on either side of the glass that hold the finishing trim were about $20 each, so that's a total of about $200 in miscellaneous parts before even buying the glass. Figure another $150 or so for labor. I could get a $220 PPG glass, but I looked at it in person and could see distortion in certain areas, so I refused it. Plus I've had bad experiences with PPG with my old Audi. The final verdict was to bend over and accept paying a premium for a better quality glass. With the OEM rubber trim and such, it adds up REAL quick! PS: Those figures were in CDN dollars, back when 1US = almost 1.5CDN.
